David Yturri is a native Texan. He began his legal career in Wise County, Texas as the primary criminal litigator for a law firm in Decatur. He went on to serve as a felony prosecutor with the Bexar County district attorney's Specialized Crimes Division in San Antonio.

David's career as a defense lawyer began in 1989 when he established a law practice in Dallas, Texas, focused on criminal law. In 2000, David expanded his practice to include Collin County, Texas. In 2015, he and his family moved to the Hill Country and established a new law office in  Marble Falls serving Burnet and surrounding hill country counties.

His practice was expanded to include family law, real estate law, guardianship law, juvenile law, the preparation of wills and trusts, and the representation of children and adults involved in Child Protective Services disputes.

David earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1983 and his law degree from Texas Tech University in 1986. Prior to attending college, David enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably as a radioman. He earned the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class during the 4 years he served.
